Practical questions and answers

ESP32 or Arduino: what are you comparing?

Arduino describes a board and software ecosystem, while ESP32 covers a family of chips and boards. Supported ESP32 variants can use the Arduino framework, so compare exact board models rather than treating the two names as mutually exclusive.

Which board criteria matter?

List input/output count, sensor interfaces, connectivity, power and library requirements. Check the variant documentation: Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and peripheral support are not identical across ESP32 devices. Do not assume voltage compatibility between boards.

How do you validate the choice?

Run the key sensor and communication path together in a small test, including network loss and power cycling. Record the board variant, library version and wiring. A sample sketch working once is not evidence that an integrated device will remain stable.

Turn this guidance into a clear scope

Prove a function with development boards and sensors, choosing the actual board for its interfaces, power needs and connectivity.
